Weekly Modern Dance Classes

Mondays, 5-6pm

Pulse and Beats, 8626 Brooks Drive, Suite 303 Easton, Md.

A combination of traditional dance artistry and educational body awareness, these 60-minute technique classes draw from a variety of modern dance styles. With rotating instructors each week, every class is sure to bring a different experience for participants.

Classes are open to adults and students, age 12 and up. Some dance training is recommended, although individuals of all backgrounds and levels are encouraged to attend. Class fees are $20 per class, or $120 for an 8-class pass.

Participants can register in advance through the MindBody app. Drop-ins are also welcome.

Open Modern Dance Classes-for all levels (even no dance experience!)

Second Saturday of each month

10:30am-12noon

Perkins Family YMCA, St. Michaels

Looking to get moving and have fun? Have zero dance experience? Haven't danced in a while? Join us for our monthly open modern dance classes!

Classes will be led by rotating instructors—the company’s Artistic Director, Company Director, and other company members will alternate instruction. Participants will be led through warm-up, modern dance movements, and will learn a short segment of performance choreography, all while breaking down the basic structure and progressions of a modern dance class.

The class is designed for adults, but open to all ages. Students under the age of 16 should be accompanied by a participating adult.

Cost: Free for current YMCA members | $12 non-members, with payment made upon arrival with cash, check, or credit card.

Participants who are not YMCA members will be asked to sign a guest pass application upon arrival and show photo identification. For participants under the age of 18, a legal guardian must check in the participant with photo identification.

Special thanks to the Perkins Family YMCA for hosting us for these events!
