DREAMERS REPRISE
Saturday, September 26 at 7pm
Sunday, September 27 at 2pm
Oxford Community Center
Dreamers Reprise is the remounting of an original contemporary dance work that premiered in fall of 2025 - Continuum Dance's return to the stage after a hiatus stemming from the pandemic. Post-pandemic, we have embraced a stage of rebuilding - one that has reignited our vision and strengthened our message: dance is for everybody. Dreamers brings this message to life.
Exploring themes of aspiration, identity, resilience, and community, the performance features adult dancers of all ages and abilities, united by creativity, dedication, and joy. In addition to both returning and new company dancers, we have also invited community members to join us on stage to share a fun, engaging piece with our audience - some will be stepping on stage for the very first time!
This program is funded in part by Talbot Arts with revenues provided by the Maryland State Arts Council and the governments of Talbot County, Easton, Oxford, and St. Michaels. Additional support is provided by the Choptank Arts & Culture Exchange.
In the spirit of making dance accessible to all, you may consider contributing to our Community Ticket Fund - purchase of a Community Ticket provides an opportunity for a member of our community to experience the show who may otherwise have been unable to afford it.
We look forward to seeing you at the show and celebrating dance together!
WANT TO DANCE ON STAGE?
For the final piece in Dreamers Reprise, we will invite audience members to join us on stage to follow along with simple choreography to a fun, upbeat song. No dance experience or registration needed - just bring your enthusiasm and smile!
